Common questions about Complifield

What is Complifield?

Complifield turns public OSHA federal enforcement records into A–F safety grades — called Foremark Scores — so homeowners can vet contractors and general contractors can pre-qualify subcontractors. Grades come from enforcement data, not self-reporting.

What is a Foremark Score?

An A–F safety grade calculated from federal OSHA enforcement data. See how we grade for the full methodology.

How is the Foremark Score calculated?

It weighs the severity and frequency of enforcement findings alongside how a contractor responded and how recent the records are. The full weighting is on the methodology page.

Where does the data come from?

Public OSHA federal enforcement records — inspections, citations, penalties. Grades are not self-reported by contractors.

How current is the data?

We refresh grades as new OSHA enforcement records become available. Because the records are public and updated on OSHA's schedule, the most recent activity may take time to appear.

Which contractors and states are covered?

Coverage is expanding. To see whether a specific contractor is graded, search for them on the search page — the states and contractors shown there reflect current coverage.

Why isn't my contractor or state listed?

If a contractor doesn't appear, we may not have graded their region yet, or there may be no matching federal enforcement record. Coverage grows over time — check back, or email support@complifield.com.

How accurate are the grades?

Grades reflect public OSHA enforcement records, matched to contractors on a best-effort basis. Records can contain errors, and name matches aren't perfect. Grades are informational only and are not a consumer report. If something looks wrong, let us know and we'll review it.

Can I use Complifield to make hiring, tenancy, or credit decisions?

No. Complifield is not a consumer reporting agency, and Foremark Scores are not consumer reports under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Do not use grades for decisions covered by the FCRA, such as employment, tenant screening, or credit. See our Terms of Service.

I'm a contractor — how do I dispute my grade?

Grades reflect public enforcement records. If a record looks inaccurate, email support@complifield.com and we'll review the data.

Do I need an account, and how do I sign in?

You can run a limited number of lookups without an account. To sign in, we email you a one-time code — there's no password to set or remember. A free account raises your monthly lookup limit; see plans and pricing.

What do the plans cost?

Free lookups, a $10/month Premium plan for unlimited access, and a Team plan for general contractors. Full details and current features are on the pricing page.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

On your account page, open Membership → Manage billing. You can update or cancel there. Cancellation stops future renewals; your access continues through the paid period.

Do you offer refunds?

Subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. See the Terms of Service for full billing terms.
